Day 99--Just Keep Moving

Visitors from next door

Mother's Day

Today was another day of odds and ends.  Dave continues to work on the electric a little each day. Each step seems to take a trip to the store for something to complete the job.  During the trip today, I stopped to buy some flowers.

Yesterday the neighbor invited me over and I spent 2 hours visiting with her. She is a delightful woman in her 80s. I learned so much about the neighborhood, the former owners of the house, and my neighbors. When I went to leave, I noticed that the house is just not cute from the Winnequah direction, so I bought myself some flowers and hanging baskets to brighten it up. We did not hang them today though because the forecast for tonight is cold.

In between working on electrical projects and as part of the electrical project, Dave also keeps working on the breezeway. Today he ran the new wires for the lights and light switches in there and he has gotten some of the insulation up.  You can really start to see what it will look like,

The light is LED with a chandelier part that we have not connected yet. It is hooked up to a motion sensor so that the light comes on when someone is moving in the breezeway at night.

Late afternoon, Dave's parents came to help a little before taking us out to dinner--a welcome break from the work. Mary helped me keep the shower and bathtub safe and clean up after I pulled the ceiling down in the master bath to get ready for the new lights to go in.

It was a messy job, but destruction can be so satisfying.
