Day 122-The Time Warp

Pocket Door Project

Why does everything take longer than you think it will? We had a 3 day weekend to get so much done, but you never really realize how long some projects take. Lauryn and I finished the rest of the tile backsplash today and did one row in the bathroom as a sturdy base.

It took about 5 hours from set up, calculation, mixing thinset, laying tile, cutting tile, laying more tile, and cleaning up. Where does the time go?

While we worked on the bathroom, Dave had a project of his own. Before we can have electricity in the hall bathroom, we need to have power run to it from the other bathroom. Before we can have power in master bath, we need drywall in there and before we can hang the drywall, we needed the pocket door installed between the master bedroom and bathroom. And that leads us to Dave's pocket door project.

He had to retro fit it into an existing plaster wall without ruining the wall. It worked pretty well--just a few screw holes to patch.
