Day 85--No Water, No Electricity

Filling the Crack

Today was a busy and, at times, challenging day. Dave began the morning by filling the the crack in the basement wall.  First, he used epoxy to put nipples up and down the crack and then he covered the entire crack with epoxy.

Then he mixed up the foaming solution and injected it into the nipples beginning with the bottom and working his way up.

Through the rest of the day, the plumber continued to work on plumbing for the kitchen and swapped out the few remaining copper pipes, so he had the water off for much of the day. Dave worked on ripping out old electrical outlets and lights, so he also had the electricity off in parts of the house during the day.
