Day 63--Porch Progress

Yard Clean Up

Today was the kind of day that had several projects going on simultaneously. Dave had to work today, so Mary and I began cleaning the upstairs to get ready to have room for the cabinets to be delivered on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Jim took the windows out of the back of the breezeway so that we could finish installing the new storm windows that came in this week.

I ran to De-construction again this afternoon in search of two-tone metal hooks or pulls. I did not have much luck. I bought 2 old faucet knobs and some old chrome pulls.

After Dave finished work, we all tackled the yard.

We thatched the yard with the mower, new thatcher, and Dave's parents yard rake, raked under the brush, and trimmed the lilac bushes by the road.  We have another load ready for the city to pick up.

In the evening, Dave and I finished installing the windows in the breezeway.
