Day 33--Shower Power

Preparing to Live Here During Construction

The uneventful end of a saga...the furnace got fixed this morning.

After work today, Dave and I ran to get all the stuff out of the neighbors garage and then we came home and spent the rest of the day making the house more livable. Dave installed the shower in the basement over the floor drain by building a little platform for it and splitting the washer hoses. See our fancy bathroom above--one sink with a tub for dirty dishes and shelf next to it with all our toiletries. The shower awkwardly placed in the middle over the drain. Clean towels in a basket and hooks so we each have our own towel space.  And finally the toilet under the stairs.

While Dave worked on the shower, I unpacked our temporary "kitchen"

Oh, and we finally walked around to take a look at the chimney repair. It looks pretty good.
