Day 31-Moving Day 3

An Empty House

Very little progress was made on the new house today as we finished up the old house. The day began with an 8:30 visit from a 3rd HVAC company.  The conflicting reports on Friday just have not been sitting right with me, so I called a different company and explained the situation and asked for another inspection. They came and did a complete inspection. They agree that the heat exchanger should be replaced, but they think the furnace has several great years left.  Time to contact the home warranty group again.

Tyler and Amanda helped again today to take several trips to the new house before they headed back up north to get ready to work on Wednesday. I am not sure what we would have done without them. We were running out of time in the afternoon again, so our friends Laura and Chad bailed us out by taking  a couple of loads too. By night, the old house was nearly empty.

We took the kids back to shower since we do not have a shower installed at the new house yet and to say goodbye to the house. We also enlisted their help to scrub the refrigerator and kitchen and to clean the house before we left.

Where did all that stuff go? Into the basement and garage at the new house, of course.

See the beast of a furnace on the left!
