Day 10--A Clean Ceiling

Dave is on his Own

Today is one of the few days that Dave has spent on the house without anyone there to help him or any subcontractors coming in to work on the house. What did he do with his day?

He painted ceilings, of course. He was so excited to try out his new airless spray painter today.  He finished patching the ceiling in the master bedroom, cleaned up the rooms, and got ready.  It took him 28 minutes to spray all four ceilings (3 bedrooms and the hall). Of course, it took a lot longer to clean up the sprayer at the end of the day.

When not working on the ceiling today, he worked on odds and ends.  Taking down more parts of the bathroom, pulling nails from the salvaged wood, pulling up the tar paper in the old bathroom, and continuing to patch the door.

Tomorrow, Dave is getting help from a couple of our friend's kids (20 somethingish adult kids) to rip up the carpet in all the bedrooms so that we can paint the woodwork and walls this week. I cannot wait to see how it looks without the beautiful jewel colored carpets.
